Danny Janes is thrilled to welcome the return of striker, Aidan Clark, from local rivals Evesham United.

Aidan, who has featured for the Football Club for a number of seasons, joined Evesham United at Step Four after scoring eight in seventeen games for The Plums at the beginning of last season.

A striker who has all the attributes to play a number of ways was much talked about due his impressive form for Pershore over the last few seasons.

With eleven goals in twenty-seven games in Janes' first season at Pershore, Aidan backed it up the following year as Hellenic League Division One top goalscorer with thirty-one goals in forty-two games.

It was form had many predicting a move for Clark, but after signing for Pershore last season it wasn't until November that Aidan joined The Robins.

With Step Four experience under his belt, Danny chased a return for Aidan from the off and is delighted to now welcome him back to Pershore.

"I managed Aidan at Under 18 level for the Worcestershire County, he was a stand out player then and when I first arrived at Pershore I was delighted he was at the Club." said Janes.

"Aidan finished as the League’s Top Scorer during our title winning season and has been a great servant for the Club.

"He has everything in my opinion, he can beat players 1 v 1 with his pace and strength, his footwork is excellent and he can shift the ball quickly.

"He can stretch and run in behind teams, he can hold the ball up and bring others into play. Aidan can score all types of goals, he can finish with both feet and his head. He is versatile so can play down the middle or from either side which is invaluable.

"When Aidan Clark is it at his best he is unplayable, but he knows it’s about consistency for him.

"We worked hard to bring him back to the Club from Evesham as we see him as a player we need to achieve what we want to achieve this season. I know there are a lot of people at the Club who are delighted with his return."

Aidan has said the time felt right last season to move on, but it also feels right now to return to the Football Club.

"Goes without saying really but I’m really excited to be back!" said Clark.

"Last year was the right time to go away and test myself and I really enjoyed it, but now I think the timing is right to come back and hopefully help the side to challenge at the top of the league and for promotion.

"The team that DJ and Tom have put together here is a really exciting one, there’s depth throughout as well as quality, and most importantly there’s a great atmosphere around the place both on and off the pitch.

"Hopefully we can keep the positive energy about the place when the season kicks off.

"The standards that are set for us and demanded of us will put us in a great place, this league is full of quality but it’s a challenge I’m really looking forward to. Hopefully I’ll get some goals and do my bit."
