Aidan Clark is the latest to commit himself to Pershore Town for the forthcoming season, a decision manager Danny Janes is delighted with.
Clark, who scored eleven goals in twenty seven games last season, was a pivotal player for Janes' sides successes.
Whilst Janes has managed Aidan previously, he admits that he wants to see even more from his forward this season.
"Aidan is a player I had when I managed the Worcestershire Under 18’s County side, he is a player I have followed since then and I’ve always monitored his progress." said Janes.
"We tried to get Aidan to FC Stratford at the start of last season but were unsuccessful.
"When we transitioned to Pershore he was a player I was looking forward to working with.
"For me, Aidan has everything and on his day, can be unplayable. He is quick, strong, has good feet, he can hold the ball and can run in behind.
"Aidan can deliver a moment of magic which we saw against Worcester Raiders and Redditch United last season.
"I don’t think he got any where near the levels he is capable of last season, yet he was still so important to us.
"He has worked hard to improve his fitness and that is evident during this Pre-Season.
"Aidan Clark can have a huge impact on this season, the magnitude of the impact is all down to him."
Aidan himself has set targets ahead of the new campaign, he intends to ensure his performances can help Pershore challenge for a league title.
"Really excited to be back this season." said Clark.
"Last year was an unbelievable ride but I firmly believe we’ve got the right group of players to keep improving and hit all our targets this year.
"The bunch of lads here are incredible and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now.
"I think I’ve personally got more to give than I showed last year but hopefully after a full preseason I’ll be ready to go out and help the boys get right to the top where we want to be."
