Danny Janes' side return to league action tomorrow afternoon and are faced with a trip to the Corinium Stadium to take on Cirencester Town.

It's been two weeks since Pershore Town last played a league game, a 7 - 1 home win over Malmesbury Victoria before having last weekend's game postponed due to Highworth's involvement in the FA Vase.

Back-to-back games against Longlevens in the last week for Cirencester has seen The Centurions picked up an away league win on Saturday whilst suffering a home County Cup defeat on Tuesday evening.

After a third placed finish and two consecutive sixth place finished in Southern League Division One, Cirencester opted for relegation ahead of the 2024/25 Season and since then, a rebuilding process has taken place with their rewards beginning to come through.

With seven league defeats in a row to begin the season, The Centurians have began to find stride in the Hellenic League with impressive wins over Sporting Club Inkberrow and Hereford Pegasus in their turn-around.

Three league wins in their last five league games, Cirencester are certainly one of the form teams in the Hellenic League at present and they'll have a large number of players that can hurt Pershore tomorrow afternoon.

Harrison Reeves leads the way in the scoring charts for Cirencester, he has six goals in just seven games after joining the club. The former Brimscombe & Thrupp and Bishop's Cleeve man will be imperative to Cirens' attacking intent.

Skipper, Aidan Bennett, will likely lead the line for Cirencester Town tomorrow afternoon and whilst goals haven't been regular for Aidan, he'll provide energy and experience to a young side.

Elsewhere, Jack Horrell in midfield will look to make The Centurians tick in the middle of the park. The former Malvern Town and Worcester Raiders midfielder joined in the summer and has four goals to his name from midfield.

It'll be a welcome return to league action for Danny Janes' side, they come into tomorrow's game having been heavily beaten in the Worcestershire Senior Cup on Tuesday evening, whilst the league form has picked up recently.

The Plums, whilst still sitting thirteenth in the league, head into tomorrow' fixture having won their last two league games, scoring twelve in the process and conceding just the one goal.

Janes' side have goals throughout the side now, James Baldwin leads the way with nine, Aidan Clark and Bailey Fuller both have seven whilst Harlie Price and Ben Tilbury both sit on five goals each. Zaq Hussain returned to the starting line-up recently and he now has four goals to his name, including one against Bromsgrove on Tuesday evening.

There could be returns to the starting line-up for Scott Loader, having now returned from holiday, and Jake Donnelly who will serve a two game ban following tomorrow's fixture.

Janes will certainly be hoping to see his side return to winning ways after Tuesday night, but will not be taking a much-improved Cirencester Town side lightly.

"It's a game we are looking forward to and one that we must maximise in terms of opportunities." said Janes.

"We have been on a good run of form in the league and it's important we continue that. We travel with a very strong squad which is full of attacking options, I am expecting to see a lot of quality in that department.

"Cirencester have picked up some excellent results this season and will want to catch us in the table."
