It's also a return to league action after an impressive win over higher ranked Longlevens AFC on Tuesday evening in the Semi Final of the Wiseman Lighting Floodlit Cup.
Prior to back-to-back away league defeats for Kidlington, there had been some good form. Wins against Moreton Rangers, Newent Town and Calne Town in the cup were backed up with a 2 - 2 draw away at Shortwood United.
Brad Chalmers is the man in charge of Kidlington Reserves, he took over after the previous management team stood down at the end of September and Brad carries a lot of playing experience whilst also previously being part of the Abingdon United management team.
Top goalscorer for The Greens is another former Abingdon United man in Kyle Moss. An all action midfielder who will work hard between both boxes whilst chipping in with his goals this season.
As for Danny Janes' side, as has been said, it was a impressive win over Longlevens AFC on Wednesday evening to set up a two-legged final against Mangotsfield United in the Floodlit Cup.
Prior to that, Janes' side had hit back from defeat away to Hartpury University to beat Calne Town 2 - 0 away from home.
Aidan Clark took his goal tally to twenty five for the season on Wednesday evening whilst James Baldwin notched up his seventeenth for the campaign.
The Plums remain top of the league in Division One but there is a lot of pressure from Milton United and Hartpury University just below waiting to pounce on anymore blips on the record.
"12 league games to go, the players know they have to maximise every opportunity." said Janes.
"We are in control at the moment, we dictate how the table looks. We must ensure that situation does not change, we have to continue to be in control.
"Kidlington have picked up some good results, they will come to us with the desire to cause an upset. If we do not match their energy, then we will have problems. How the game looks will depend on us and the levels the players perform at.
"We have spoke at length about not chasing results; trusting the process and focusing on performance levels will underpin the outcome of our games.
"We have a busy fixture schedule and we will utilise the squad, we have fantastic depth. It is important to keep the team fresh physically and mentally. Players who are playing have a responsibility to maintain the levels set this season.
"Those players who are not featuring, must contribute to the group and bring positive energy. We have a great group who are fully supportive of each other, they compete fiercely for places but their interests are in the success of the club."
