The Plums, who'd played four games in eight days, have been without a game since last weekend's 2 - 0 away win over Shortwood United and that's allowed chance for a number of players to recover from injuries.
Today will bring about a really tough task for Janes' side however with Sam Collier's Royal Wootton Bassett Town travelling to Worcestershire with the pressure of needing to win to stay in the Play-Off chase.
The result at Shortwood United would've been much welcomed for Pershore, Janes' side had gone four games without a win and had lost their last three. It also puts The Plums into the Quarter Final of the Marsh Challenge Cup where a trip to Ludlow Town awaits.
They'll be no doubt it'll be the visitors that'll come into today's game as favourites, Collier's side are unbeaten in their last five games winning four of those. They too progressed in the Marsh Challenge Cup on Saturday with a 4 - 3 win over Longlevens AFC. Bassett had raced into a 4 - 0 lead in that game but Levens' pulled it back to make it a nervy ending.
The Plums travelled to Royal Wootton Bassett Town back in December and came away with a 2 - 1 win, and some nice praise from Bassett's manager.
Alfie Presley leads the way in the scoring charts for Collier's side, one of the best attackers in the league, Presley has twenty-two goals this season and he'll certainly be one to watch today.
Behind Alfie in the scoring charts if Brad Pagliaroli, he has thirteen goals this season and operating from the wide areas he has the ability to unlock any defence. Pace, power and excellent feet, Janes will be hoping to keep Brad quiet this afternoon.
Scoring the goal against Pershore in December, Dan Grieve has been in impressive form for Bassett since joining from Chipping Sodbury Town. Grieve started the season with Highworth Town before dropping into Hellenic League Division One. He's struck eight in eleven games for Collier's side since returning to the Hellenic League Prem.
Elsewhere, Janes will be well aware of Jack Hobson-McVeigh, a midfielder he has sung the praises of numerous times previously. Jack is technically one of the best players in the league and he'll be key in Bassett progressing the ball through their midfield and linking play between their defenders and attackers. The Plums will need to key a number of players quiet today, Jack will certainly be one of them.
Two players that featured against Janes' side back in December, James Foster and George Peare, will both be missing for Collier's side today having suffered long-term injuries.
For The Plums, Janes will be desperate now for his side to finish the season strongly despite admitting that he feels the Play-Off chance has slipped away from them.
A draw and two defeats in the last three league outings means Pershore would need somewhat of a miracle to make the Play-Offs and Janes is now just determined to see his side finish strongly.
Whilst the week off from games has allowed a number of players to return to fitness, Janes will still be missing a few key players in Jake Donnelly and Sacha Everard. That, coupled with Bo Morris moving to Dubai, will leave question marks over how Janes' defensive line will look heading into today's game.
Another player that'll be missing for The Plums today is midfielder, Nathan Benson. 'Benno' was sent off against Worcester Raiders and will serve his one game suspension today.
Sean Cooke, Bailey Fuller, Reiss Taylor-Randle will all return to contention after carrying injuries over the last week or so, meanwhile Raiyan Ahmed will also be back involved having been cup tied for Saturday's trip to Shortwood.
Harlie Price and Aidan Clark were both on the scoresheet in the win over The Woods, goals taking Harlie to fourteen for the season and Aidan up to seventeen, alongside James Baldwin and Bailey Fuller who are also in double figures Janes will be hoping his side will carrying a big attacking threat.
"The mid-week break in terms of games has really helped us as we welcome players back from injury." said Janes.
"We are still without Jake Donnelly and Sacha Everard due to injury, Bo Morris has moved to Dubai. Reiss Taylor-Randle and Bailey Fuller have had time to recover from their knocks, Cam Monteith should also be back to full fitness.
"Sean Cooke and Taylor Eades will be assessed closer to the game but both players trained last night.
"It is important we finish the season as strong was we possibly can. Royal Wootton Bassett have put themselves in a really good position and are right in the mix, they will be full of confidence coming here.
"We need to raise our game based on our last three league results if we are to get anything from the game."
