North Leigh, Step 3, signed Matt after his impressed last season and continued to impress during Pre-Season but the defender has struggled for competitive game time for his new side.

"We have secured Matt’s services for a month and we believe it it a great situation for ourselves, North Leigh and Matt." said Janes.

"Matt is having to be patient at North Leigh, he will get some game time with us whilst Kirk Layton is absent, meaning he keeps himself ticking over, North Leigh inherit back a player who has played some minutes, and we inherit a player of real quality.

"Having lost Curtis Townley, we felt we required cover in the centre back position for this month, it’s not a bad bit of business at all if you compare the two players mentioned.

"Matt was outstanding for us last season and he knows how we do things, it will be an easy transition."

A popular player around the Football Club last season, we're sure Matt will be made to feel more than welcome on his return.
