Pershore Town Remembers Alan Hadley

Club Admin4 Feb 2022 - 09:20

Pershore Town were deeply saddened to learn that former player and Assistant Manager, Alan Hadley, recently passed away.

Alan (pictured far right on the bottom row) was a highly rated local amateur footballer who featured for several sides throughout his career before becoming Assistant Manager to John Judge at Pershore Town.

Playing for Pershore Juniors, Pershore Old Boys before turning professional for Worcester City in 1971. In February of 1976, Alan was released by Worcester City and joined Malvern Town before later turning out for Pershore Town during his late thirties.

On the 28th of January, Alan's service took place at a packed Fladbury Crematorium before returning to Pershore Town FC to celebrate the life of a fantastic man and unbelievable sportsman.

Pershore Town extend our deepest sympathy to Alan's family and will conduct a minute silence ahead of our Hellenic League fixture with Moreton Rangers on Saturday, whilst our players will all wear a black armband as a mark of respect for one of the best local footballers of his generation.
