Players Didn't Get Near The Level Says Janes

Danny Janes admits that Sporting Club Inkberrow showed everything that he expects from his players in yesterday's 3 - 0 defeat.

Pershore came into the game with seven points from their last three games and high hopes of a positive performance to back up the recent points haul.

After falling behind in the game in the opening exchanges, The Plums failed to really tests the hosts goalkeeper despite the performance improving as the half went on.

A further disappointing performance in the second half just saw the game stretch away from Janes' side with Sporting Club Inkberrow scoring twice without reply.

Things went from bad to worse for Janes' side, Nathan Benson was shown a red card towards the end of the game and James Baldwin was also sin binned shortly after.

"The performance of the team and certain individuals were simply horrendous." said Janes.

"Inkberrow had more hunger, more aggression and physically they were on another level to some of our players.

"Some of Inkberrow's players made some of mine look bang average. Will Skelton up top, who I ironically recommended to Inkberrow and got him there, was fantastic, some of my players can't get close to the impact he had.

"I have responsibility as I signed the players and I picked the team, but I won't take accountability for some of the performances I witnessed, once they enter the pitch it's on them to deliver a performance conducive to the level we are at.

"There will be a few conversations this week but the games continue to come thick and fast."
