Aidan Clark and Harlie Price had given Pershore a 2 - 0 lead heading into half time, whilst Aidan further extended the lead at the start of the second half.
From then, Brimscombe & Thrupp showed tremendous heart and scored their first almost instantly, somewhat fortunate with a block that fell to their striker inside the box but he showed composure to finish well.
A second for the hosts made the game a tight affair but a combination of Brimscombe being reduced to ten men and Pershore's experience ultimately saw The Plums hang on to the 3 - 2 lead.
Numerous chances did come and go for Janes' side in the second half, it certainly could've mean far more comfortable but three points was all that mattered for The Plums who climb one place in the Hellenic League table.
"A game of two halves in terms of control and quality." said Janes.
"First half I thought we were good, dominated the game and looked dangerous going forwards, it was just a matter of time until we scored. Two good goals get us in at half-time in a great position.
"Second half we started perfectly by grabbing the third and it should be game over. We are unlucky with their first goal but from there we couldn’t get hold of the game.
"The second half was littered with poor decisions and a lack of game intelligence. Players turning the ball over constantly, not recognising they needed to protect the ball and allow us to get up the pitch combined with poor quality on passes.
"That mixture of mistakes allowed Brimscombe to come at us and have a real go. We did have our own chances to kill the game, but the finishing from a variety of players was just not good enough.
"Brimscombe is a tough place to go and they will beat teams at their place, full credit to them for turning the game around in that second half.
"We are delighted with the three points but the lack of game understanding in that second half was very frustrating, it makes the planning process for training very easy."
