We'll start this week with Tim Brown's Under 8's who travelled over to Bidford-on-Avon for a fixture that surprised many to have survived the weather. Unfortunately The Plums failed to get on the scoresheet in what turned into a very muddy battle.
Tim's Under 9's saw their game at Abbey Park Middle School called off with the pitch struggling in the recent weather to recover following other fixtures.
Jon Dean's Under 11 Bullets have found a rich vein of form! They were on their travels on Saturday morning to Ashton. Reece helped himself to three goals whilst Edward scored direct from a corner and Luke also chipped in with a goal to hand The Plums another positive result.
Jason Neville had been hopeful his Under 12 Bullets' fixture would survive at Peopleton but following an early morning pitch inspection, it wasn't to be! Anybody found Jason's Panther?
AJ Mountain's Under 12 Girls lost out on penalties to Kidderminster Athletic Vipers. With the score locked at 1 - 1 on the Full Time whistle thanks to a strike from Sofia Genever after a through ball from Casey Barnett - The Plums went down 4 - 1 in the shootout.
Phil Haines' Under 14's secured their place into the Semi-Final of the League Cup with a 4 - 0 win over Sheppey Swifts. With the game played on the 3G at Pershore High School, The Plums were ahead 1 - 0 at half time thanks to a strike from Alfie Quarmby before further extending their lead in the second half with Toby Marchant on the scoresheet and Charlie Smith notching a double.
Danny Hilditch's Midland Junior Premier League Under 15's bowed out of the League Cup at the first hurdle after finishing runners-up last season. Aylestone proving too strong for large parts of the game for The Plums who gifted their hosts a head start. Final score was 4 - 3 to Aylestone whilst Joel Masters, Callum Jenkinson and Henry Hilditch were all on the scoresheet.
Simon Hulse's Evesham Ambassador League Under 15's had their cup game against Shipston Excelsior called off due to standing water on the pitch.
Onto Sunday and Tim Brown's Under 8's had another run out, this time against Ashton! The rain had stopped, it had been replaced by goals! Alfie B (3), Bradders (3), Oakley (2), Joseph (2), Alfie R, Gethyn, Cammy and Parker all scoring for The Plums!
Stuart Townsend's Under 14's secured a Cup Final spot at the AIM Community Stadium! Again, the 14's played at Pershore High School 3G and once again scored four for the second time in the weekend. Alfie Quarmby, Charlie Smith and Morley Westwood had The Plums 3 - 1 ahead at half time before James Barnett scored in the second half to secure a 4 - 1 victory.
Jay Morgan's Under 15's played an unbeaten CS Cheltenham on Sunday and they shared the points in a 1 - 1 draw. Henry Hilditch with his second goal of the weekend in Pershore Town colours meaning The Plums are the only team to take anything from CS Cheltenham so far this season. A penalty miss in the first half for Pershore could've seen The Plums secure all three but a point it was in an entertaining fixture.
