A chance to check out the results throughout Pershore Town Football Club from the past week.

We started off this week early as Mike Bishop’s U18 Floodlit team took on Malvern town on Tuesday evening. An outstanding performance by the U18s against a strong Malvern side. Some great goals were on display in this fixture. A Special mention to Igor Savciuc with two assists a very well taken goal.
We move swiftly onto Saturday, where our youth teams were in action.

Alice Hill’s U7s came up against P and E Sports this weekend where they showed a great performance and attitude from minute one of the game to the final whistle which the management team were delighted with and hope to carry on the great performances.

Andy Medler’s U8s faced Oldbury Park Tigers in their opening game of the campaign. Andy has praised his whole team on the performance they showed in their opening game this weekend. The management team are looking forward to the rest of the campaign with this great bunch of players.

Tim Brown’s U9s played against Bretforton in a Cup game this Saturday, the determination and strength which Tim’ players showed within this fixture is something that he is very proud of and hopes to see a lot more of this in the future fixtures.

Jen Lienerth’s U11s played against Kempsey Colts this Saturday. The result wasn’t what the girls would have hoped for on the day, but every player can be very proud of their performance. Their heads never dropped throughout the game. The girls are improving week by week and are heading in the right direction to becoming a successful team.

Jon Dean’s U12 Bullets played away at Broadway United in a cup game this Saturday morning, It was a great performance by this team who showed great resilience when they went 1-0 down to draw level, but then they unfortunately fell to a late winner by Broadway United. A special mention to Reuben Young who was outstanding in this fixture.

AJ Mountain’s U12 Boys had a slow start to the first half, coming into the break 4-1 down. The second half was a lot better for ‘The Plums’ when they started to take control of the game and came back to level the score 4-4, it was a brilliant comeback for the team and showed a great second half performance. AJ Mountain’s U13 Girls played against Inkberrow in their league fixture this week where it was a dominate and outstanding performance by the girl who ran away with the game winning 4-0. Rhianna Croy with a hattrick and Grace Mountain with the final goal.

Steve Barker’s U14s took on Rock Sports in a league fixture this week. They had a dominant performance in first half which led to them being 5-1 up at the break. Second half was hard work for the U14s due to a resilient Rock midfield. However, the game ended with a great win 6-2.

Stu Townsend’s U15s travelled to Gloucestershire to face Quedgeley Wanderers in the Severn Valley Youth League. They came away from the fixture with a 3-0 defeat but there was lots of positives to take from a team finding its way with several new players this season.

Simon Hulse’s U16s came up against Lye Town in the MJPL, overall, it was a cracking game of football for U16s. They went 1-0 down in the first half but went into half time all square at 2-2. The second half was an outstanding performance by the team which led them scoring five more goals in the second half with the game finishing 7-2. Hat-trick hero Leo Cunningham and George smith with a brace.

Danny Hilditch’s U16s played against good quality opposition in Solihull Whites. With a number of new signings in the summer the performances are starting to come together. The U16s took their chances throughout the game and ensuring they kept that clean sheet. Winning the game 3-0, Special mention to Tom King in his MOTM performance.

Jay Widdett’s U18s had a frustrating match against Harborough Town in the MJPL this weekend. Going a goal behind on two occasions to finish the game 2-2. Plenty to work on throughout the team but a real togetherness is being built by the new team.

Adam Parker’s Development team faced Rushall Olympic reserves at the Recruit12 Community stadium in the afternoon. It was a poor start to the game with the Development team finding themselves 2-0 down at half time. A stronger performance in the second half saw them draw level and salvage a point from this fixture.

Onto Sunday and Stu Townsend’s U15 Bullets played in a cup match against Bishops Cleeve Colts. The first half was very scrappy in the wind but lead 3-0 at the break. Two goals followed in the second half to secure the 5-0 win and move to the next round of the cup for the Bullets. Two braces in this game from Ethan Lomax and Morley Westwood.

Jay Morgan’s U16s were away today at Newtown. After a good start they struggled with the conditions in the first half, but it was always going to be a game of two halves. To go in 3-2 up was a bit disappointing as the 2 conceded were avoidable. Second half the lad played them off the park. Some cracking goals and some neat football resulting in an 11-2 win for the team. Three braces in the team today, Henry Hilditch, Callum Jenkinson and Jai-Jai Joyce.
