A chance to check out the results throughout Pershore Town Football Club from the past week

We start the week of with Andy Medler’s U8s who played against Perdiswell Colts this Saturday, it was a game where they had to really dig deep to get the result they wanted and to carry on the impressive start to the season. The management team could not be prouder of how this team have worked together in previous weeks!

Tim Brown’s U9s played Bretforton, a top-class performance from the U9s which showed some great quality within the match which really impressed the management team. Tim Brown’s U10’s faced a strong AK Hornets where they found themselves creating numerous changes but unable to convert all of them. The team is showing promising signs by working together and not letting their heads drop.

Jen Lienerth’s U11 Girls came up against a very impressive Wardon Villages side. The girls battled from start to finish, kept trying to play their football and never let their heads drop throughout the whole game. The girls now move forward to their next game against Stourport Swifts.

Pete Davis’ U11s came up against a strong Crowle Searchers, where they had to really dig deep and created lots of chances which they were able to convert. The performances are really starting to show from this much changed side from last year and the boys are getting stronger each week.

Jon Dean’s U12 Bullets faced a West Worcester Lions away from home this weekend were the Bullets pulled out the performance and the result which players and management have been working towards from the start of this season, finishing the 6-2 winners and hat-tricks from Reece Yarnold and Jude Reen.

AJ Mountain’s U13 Girls came up against Newtown Sports where their impressive start to the season continues. A great performance from start to finish. A brace for Grace Mountain and a hat-trick for Rhianna Croy. That’s 3 wins from 3 for this team and they hope to keep up the momentum in their upcoming fixtures.

Rich Morley’s U13s played against local rivals Evesham United. A game which defiantly wasn’t short of a few goals from each team. ‘The Plums’ found themselves 1-0 down in the first half but then scored four goals before the break and led 4-1 at half time. The second half was goals galore with Pershore finally winning the game 11-6. Special mention to Max with 5 of the goals.

Jason Neville’s U13 Bullets faced a Wardon Villages side, which saw a great first half performance by the Bullets. Going into the break 1-1 courtesy of a goal from Anthony Neville. The second half was much like the first which caused the Wardon keeper to pull off some fantastic saves but a frustrating second half saw several chances go amiss and the opposition scoring with 6 minutes to go and winning the game 2-1.

Steve Barker’s U14s faced Rock Sports, where it was an entertaining game for a neutral and lots of positives to take from the game and areas to improve on. Total of 14 goals in this game but ‘The Plums’ came away with the three points and a 8-6 win.

Danny Hilditch’s U16s faced a strong Solihull Moors Foundation side. Pershore started of the game very poor which led them to be a goal down in the first half. Following the goal ‘The Plums’ quickly equalised to make it 1-1 going into the break. A better performance in the second half and 12 minutes from the end, Henry Hilditch scored the winning and saw the U16’s win the fixture 3-2 and that’s the third win in a row for the MJPL side and sees them 15th of 77 in the league table.

Simon Hulse’s U16s came up against Nunnery Wood, they went into the break 2-1 up, better composure in the 2nd half saw us score another 3. In all, some good football was played by the lads. A brace for Joe Greening and goals from Leo Cunningham, George Smith and Wiktor Zagrodnik.

Wayne Lomax’s U15s had a very frustrating first half against Warwick Juniors, a first half which saw ‘The Plums’ dominate possession and create chances, but the ball wouldn’t go in the net! A disappointing start to the second half which saw the U15s go 3 nil down, but they kept fighting on and scored three in the last 15 minutes to earn the lads a well-deserved 3-3 draw. Mention for Toby Marchant with the brace!

Jay Widdett’s U18s faced Strachan Football foundation. After a disappointing result last week, Jay asked his team for a response and that is what he got. ‘The Plums’ took the lead early in the first half with a well taken goal by Mason. They controlled the rest of the first half but lacked the cutting edge at times. The second half was very even for both sides, but Strachan equalised with 10 minutes to go, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Onto Sunday and Stu Townsend’s U15 Bullets played against Charlton Rover’s which saw a real game of two halves on a very difficult pitch. ‘The Plums’ really struggled to find a foothold in the first half and luckily went into the break all square. Second half the U15s took the lead early on with a goal from Louis Burne. It wasn’t meant to be for Stu’s team as Charlton scored two goals in the second half against the run of play and U15s losing the game 2-1.

Jay Morgan’s U16s were at home today in the first round of the league cup against Heart of Gloucester. An outstanding performance today from the Pershore boys as they ran out 12-0 winners. The football and goals were fantastic with every player showing great quality as they begin our defence of the Cheltenham league cup. Special mentions to Henry Hilditch with the 5 goals and Joe Greening with a hat-trick.
