Starting us off on Saturday, Andy Medler's Under 9's welcomed DW Coaching to the 3G Pitch at Pershore High School, looking to avenge a big defeat earlier in the season. Josh and Arthur were on the scoresheet for The Plums in this one who fell just narrowly short of impressive opponents in DW.
Tim Brown's Under 10's took on Stratford Town on Saturday at Abbey Park. Stratford coming into the game having won five from five, however The Plums were on form and secured a brilliant result against an impressive opposition.
Tim Brown's Under 11's were in impressive form away to Inkberrow, Ollie GD scored four whilst Maxwell and Bengy were also on the scoresheet for The Plums in this one. Two soft goals given away but overall a very good result for Tim's Under 11's.
Peter Wood's Under 12's ran out comfortable winners away to Tysoe United, securing a 12 - 0 win. The Plums came out the traps early doors in this one, scoring twice in the opening five minutes and then given their hosts no room to get back into the game. Reon Withers struck six, Rio Watts scored four whilst William Biddle and Tom Tallis-Dykes also got on the scoresheet.
Jenna Lienerth's Under 12 Girls' were unfortunate in defeat away to Worcester Raiders on Saturday morning, the hosts scoring with the last kick of the game to secure a 2 - 1 win. The hosts had taken the lead early in this one before Georgia-Mai hit back with a fantastic goal. The Plums had the better of the chances in the second half but were unable to make them count with Raiders' countering Pershore in the dying moments of the game.
AJ Mountain's Under 13's were unfortunate in defeat to Kidderminster with the scoreline at 4 - 3 in the visitors favour. Jacob Stokes, Harry Simmonds and Lewis Brown were on the scoresheet for The Plums but the hosts were guilty of not taking their chances with Kidderminster securing the win.
Rich Morley's Under 14's fell to defeat away to CS Colts on Saturday morning. After failing to punish the hosts with two early chances, they grew into the game and controlled proceedings following a late strike in the first half. A 3 - 0 defeat for the young Plums, conceding two goals in the last five minutes whilst struggling to hurt the hosts at the opposite end.
AJ Moutain's Under 14 Girls' secured an impressive 4 - 2 win away to Worcester City over the weekend. The Plums lead 2 - 1 at half time after opening the scoring initially early doors. Pershore struck again twice in the second half whilst Worcester themselves added a consolation goal. Grace Mountain and Rhianna Croy both on the scoresheet twice in this one.
Steve Barker's Under 15's bowed out of the County Cup at home to Drakes Broughton. A strong first half performance on the main pitch at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium wasn't backed up in the second half with the visitors running away 7 - 1 winners.
In an unfortunate draw, our two Under 16's faced off against each other in the County Cup on Saturday. Wayne Lomax's Under 16's running out 4 - 0 winners over Stuart Townsend's Under 16's which began as a tight affair, with Wayne's U16's going in 1 - 0 to the good at half time. An early second goal in the second half opened the game up, Stuart's U16's having to chase the game leaving them suspect to the counter attack which Wayne's side capitalised on, securing a 4 - 0 win. Toby Marchant, Toby Kennedy, Adam Lippett and a penalty from Morley Westwood securing progression into the next round.
Jay Morgan's Under 17's triumphed against Blurton at home, 4 - 2 after leading 2 - 0 at half time. Brooklyn Warren striking twice on debut whilst Harrison Bate and Junior Ceita were also on the scoresheet, Harrison's a special goal from forty yards.
Onto Sunday and Wayne Lomax's Under 16's were on fire on the main pitch at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium, they ran out 14 - 0 winners over Severn Valley in the Second Round of the County Cup. The Plums were ahead 4 - 0 at half time before changes added some energy to the second half performance and the hosts ran away with the game. Ethan Skyrme scored four, Ethan Lomax, Toby Marchant and Sam Button all got a double with Will Knowles, Adam Lippett, Joe Murray, Jake Bradley and Riley Edge also on the scoresheet for a comfortable afternoon's work.
Stuart Townsend's Under 16's fell to defeat against Cookley Sports on Sunday, The Plums unable to find the net in this one with Cookley running out 5 - 0 winners in the County Cup.
Wrapping up our Sunday once again in James Moreton's Sunday Team, they ran out comfortable winners against a Fladbury side that have yet to get going this season. The Plums progressed in the Evesham Hospital Cup with a 4 - 1 win. Scott Loader and Tom Banks both scored twice as Mort's side brushed aside the local rivals.
