Club Admin18 Nov - 18:07

We're at that point of the week where we get to review the results throughout the Football Club from another busy weekend for The Plums.

Starting us off this weekend is Leanne Reynold's Under 7's who welcomed AK Wasps for a Cup Game on Saturday morning. In a game that finished level in an eight goal thriller, The Plums were brilliant in a penalty shoot-out with Isaac making three huge saves! Big shouts to Harry and Eesaa for scoring their penalties to send The Plums through to the next round!

Tory Hall's Under 8's were at home to Tysoe Foxes on Saturday and despite a slow start to the game, they soon found their feet. There was nothing to separate these two sides by the end of the game.

Andy Medler's Under 9's finally got their rewards for the recent performances as they travelled to take on Play R Pro! Ethan scored twice whilst Josh, Quinn, Leo and Kai were also on the scoresheet as The Plums secured a comfortable result.

Tim Brown's Under 10's welcomed Inkberrow for a fixture on Saturday morning and after scoring in the opening stages of the game, The Plums weren't going to let up on their opponents this weekend.

Peter Wood's Under 12's welcomed Shipston Excelsior Under 12's to Eckington this weekend and whilst the visitors took the early lead, it was Pershore that would secure the points. Alfie Cowley levelled the game before the half time whistle and then into the second half The Plums were awarded a penalty, Oliver Wood stepped up to tuck home and secure a 2 - 1 win for The Plums.

Jenna Lienerth's Under 12 Girls' secured a penalty shoot-out victory over Alcester Town on Saturday morning at Eckington. Summer Cropper with the only goal in the game for The Plums with the scoreline locked at 1 - 1 by the full time whistle. Immy Mountain proved to be the difference between the two sides in the shoot-out, a brilliant performance in goal as The Plums ran out 5 - 4 winners to progress into the next round.

Jon Dean's Under 13 Bullets' travelled over to Tewkesbury on Saturday and returned to Pershore with all three points following a 3 - 2 victory. Jude, Luke and Ethan with the goals in a superb team performance which was underpinned through hard work. Four league wins on the spin now for Jon's side who continue to work hard to improve their game.

Rich Morley's Under 14's suffered a heavy defeat at home to Chasetown at the weekend! A poor start to the game had the visitors 2 - 0 up within five minutes whilst a break-away goal saw Chasetown 3 - 0 up by half time. The Plums could do little about Chasetown's dominance in this one as they went on to run out 7 - 0 winners.

Jason Neville's Under 14 Bullets' secured a huge result away to Evesham United on Saturday morning having beaten them just weeks ago in the cup at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium. Cormac Bircham opened the scored in the first half before Finn Cordiner doubled The Plums advantage. The hosts hit back but it wasn't long before Pershore regained their two goal advantage, Kyann Munn-Powell calmly slotted to make it 3 - 1. There was a late consolation from Evesham, but it was Pershore that held on for all three points.

AJ Mountain's Under 14 Girls' fell to defeat at home to Worcester City in a Cup Fixture. The visitors took and early lead in this one but The Plums remained confident of getting back into the game and did so late in the first half thanks to Esther Cooke. With the scoreline still locked at 1 - 1 by full time, the game headed to a penalty shoot-out with Worcester City running out 3 - 1 winners in the lottery.

Wayne Lomax's Under 16's travelled to Broadway on Saturday to take on their Under 17's in a friendly. Will Knowles scoring the only goal of the game in this one for The Plums as the two sides played out a 1 - 1 draw.

Stuart Townsend's Under 16's travelled to Dursley on Saturday morning to take on Cam Everside in the Severn Valley Youth League. The hosts running out victorious in this one, a tight affair finishing 2 - 1 at full time.

Jay Morgan's Under 17's had the long journey to Hednesford to contend with on Saturday, despite going a goal down in the game The Plums would go on to secure a comfortable 10 - 1 win over their hosts. Callum scored four, Brooke got three, Alfie got two and Jake was also on the scoresheet.

Onto Sunday and Stuart Townsend's Under 16's ran riot at home to Bishops Cleeve on the back pitch at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium. Having drew 2 - 2 at the beginning of October, The Plums ran out 6 - 0 winners to secure three points in the Cheltenham Youth League.

Finishing up our Round-Up as ever with James Moreton's Sunday Side who travelled to Fladbury for a league fixture having beaten them 4 - 1 at home in the Cup last weekend. It wasn't to be this time around however with the hosts running out 6 - 0 winners over The Plums.
