We do start this week with the only game that survived Storm Darragh last weekend, Wayne Lomax's Under 16's ran out comfortable 5 - 0 winners over Bishops Cleeve Colts on Sunday in a 2nd Round League Cup tie. Nelson Amphlett struck twice, as did Riley Edge whilst Sean Allen was also on the scoresheet for The Plums.
Onto the weekend just gone and starting us off is Leanne Reynolds' Under 7's who faced Kempsey Colts at home. After a tough result last time out, our Under 7's produced a fantastic performance on Saturday with Sophie scoring a hat-trick for the Plums.
Andy Medler's Under 9's continued their charge on the MJPL, a long journey awaited them Saturday to Kewford Eagles who sat second in the table. Unfortunately too many missed opportunities in this one meant The Plums were unable to impact Kewford's goal and despite plenty of saves from Pershore Town keeper, it was Kewford that took all the points.
Tim Brown's Under 10's played out an even game on Saturday morning at home to Malvern Town. Oscar had given The Plums the lead in this one but too many chances after couldn't be capitalised on.
Tim Brown's Under 11's had a tough morning against Inkberrow on the weekend! A positive result against the same opposition a few weeks back couldn't be replicated this time around.
Pete Wood's Under 12's ran out comfortable winners over Tysoe United this weekend! The Plums leading 3 - 0 at half time before adding a further five goals to the scoreline in the second half to secure all three points in and 8 - 0 win. Tallis Dykes scored a hat-trick, Rio Watts and Alfie Cowley both scoring a brace whilst Ron Withers and Jacob Hopkins were also on the scoresheet.
Jenna Lienerth's Under 12 Girls ran out 2 - 1 winners over Kingfisher on Saturday morning. After a disappointing performance in the first half, The Plums came true in the second half scoring two early goals through Summer Cropper and Georgie-Mai.
AJ Mountains Under 13's ran out 3 - 2 winners over Westbury Celtic on the weekend! The Plums having to work hard with as bare 11 on a heavy pitch to secure all three points in this one. Oliver Lawson, Jacob Stokes and Riley Keetley on the scoresheet for Pershore Town in this one.
Jon Dean's Under 13 Bullets' made it seven league games without defeat on Saturday morning as they won the local derby against Evesham United, 1 - 0. The Plums have Luke to thank for the only goal of the game in this one, a wonderful solo strike handing Pershore Town victory.
Jason Neville's Under 14 Bullets' fell to a disappointing defeat at home to Catshill on Saturday morning at Peopleton. The Plums were punished twice as Catshill hit the hosts on the break in the first half to go 2 - 0 ahead. Whilst Anthony Neville did strike back to half the deficit, Pershore were unable to find the equaliser despite plenty of attempts.
AJ Mountain's Under 14 Girls' ran out comfortable winners over Redditch Borough in the County Cup, a 6 - 2 scoreline against a team that beat The Plums twice last season on their way to securing the Division Two title. Grace Mountain scoring three whilst Rhianna Croy helped herself to two goals and Esther Cooke also got on the scoresheet.
Steve Barker's Under 15's played out a 1 - 1 draw against Tewkesbury Town on the back pitch at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium. With a bare 11, The Plums dominated large parts of the game but struggled to put away their chances. The away side levelling the scoreline in the dying moments of the game, much to the frustration of The Plums.
Wayne Lomax's Under 16's fell to defeat at home to Bidford-on-Avon on Saturday morning. Another game whereby The Plums had numerous chances which they failed to take whilst the visitors were keen to hit Pershore on the counter attack. Sean Allen, Will Knowles and Toby Marchant on the scoresheet in this one as Bidford ran out 4 - 3 winners.
Stuart Townsend's Under 16's ran out 3 - 2 winners over Tetbury Town in the Severn Valley Youth League on Saturday morning at Fladbury.
Jay Morgan's Under 18's travelled to Banbury United on Saturday morning to take on their Under 18's. The Plums securing a 4 - 2 win in this one despite going 1 - 0 down in the first half. Pershore playing a proportion of the game with ten men but still saw the game out to secure all three points. Charlie Shore Nye struck twice whilst Callum Jenkinson and Szymon Mrozrek were also on the scoresheet.
Onto Sunday and just the one result to report, James Moreton's Sunday Team going down 3 - 1 at home to Inkberrow in the Worcestershire FA Sunday Cup, Kian Collins giving The Plums the lead in this one but Inkberrow coming back to progress into the next round.
