Results Round-Up; Pershore Town

Club Admin10 Mar - 19:30

Plenty of football to report on from over the weekend for Pershore Town! See below for the results and the goal-scorers representing The Plums!

Starting us off this week is Tory Hall's Under 8's who took on Bidford on Saturday morning. With many impressive performances and goals from Joey and Harry, the two sides couldn't be separated by full time. Man of the match went to Thomas Kimberley for a brilliant performance that kept his side in the game.

Andy Medler's Under 9's faced off in the local derby against Inkberrow on Saturday morning and after a slow start, The Plums found themselves behind in the opening five minutes. A spirited comeback over the course of the game had the scoreline level but it was the hosts to find the winner in the dying moments. Josh scored twice, Quinn got the other and Josh Flintham picked up the man of the match vote.

Tim Brown's Under 10's took on Drakes Broughton on Saturday morning and knowing it'd always be a tough game they had their keeper to thank for keeping them in this one. The visitors, 'Drakey', running out eventual winners.

Tim Brown's Under 11's hosted Evesham United, a side heading into the MJPL next season. Harry Brown and Ollie GD both got on the scoresheet to bring the scores level after going behind in the first half but the visitors came back strong late on to run out victorious.

Pete Wood's Under 12's travelled over to Crowle Sharks on Saturday morning and secured a narrow 1 - 0 win over their hosts. Kalton Yapp got on the scoresheet in the first half and despite the game being end to end, neither team could add to the scoreline with Pershore securing all three points.

Grace Harker's Under 12 Girls' travelled away to Alcester Town on Saturday and produced a five star display! After a slow start, the two sides couldn't be separated by half time but it was a different story in the second half. The Plums came out firing and dominated the second period with Summer and Harriet both scoring twice whilst Sienna also hit a screamer to get on the scoresheet. A 5 - 0 win and a Girl of the Game vote going to Harriet.

Jon Dean's Under 13's fell to defeat at home to Alcester Town on a day where too many of them were just not at the races. The Plums never really got going and rarely did they look like scoring in a 3 - 0 defeat against The Romans.

Rich Morley's Under 14's travelled to Easington in the MJPL on Saturday and gave themselves somewhat of an uphill task after gifting the hosts four goals. The Plums found themselves 3 - 0 behind in this one by half time and despite starting the second half much better, the hosts added two more to their tally and ran out 5 - 1 winners.

Jason Neville's Under 14 Bullets' were defeated away at Winchcombe Town in a disappointing performance from The Plums. Winchcombe certainly handled the conditions better, playing slightly more direct than Pershore and running out 4 - 0 winners.

Steve Barker's Under 15's ran out comfortable winners on the back pitch at the Recruit 12 Community Stadium, The Plums dispatching of Droitwich Eagles 7 - 1 despite not being at their best. George scored four, Theo got two and Liam also got on the scoresheet as Pershore controlled the game from start to finish.

Wayne Lomax's Under 16's fell to defeat against Kidderminster Harriers in the Semi Final of the County Cup. The Plums had taken the lead in the game through Ethan Lomax who struck from distance but despite leading the game at half time it was Harriers that had the better of the second half, running out 5 - 1 winners.

Jay Morgan's Under 17's were held to a 2 - 2 draw away at NC United on Saturday morning which left The Plums frustrated not to have secured all three points. Callum Jenkinson and Jake Dyke on the scoresheet in this one whilst Rorie Hanbury was exceptional in midfield, securing the man of the match vote.

Onto Sunday and Wayne Lomax's Under 16's secured their County Cup Final place with a 2 - 0 win over Nunnery Wood Typhoons. A brilliant performance was justified with the result, Adam Lippett and Jake Bradley firing The Plums into the Cup Final!

James Moreton's Sunday Team lost out in their Divisional Cup Group Stage game away to Mickleton Rangers. Kyle Ballard struck twice after coming off the bench but it was the hosts that ran out 3 - 2 winners in this one.
